Toy Monuments
I learned about the war at night. A friend who was supposed to bring me soup to the workshop that day called and said the war had started. She said she needed to turn on the news and hung up because she was hastily collecting things for the evacuation. All this horror became routine in two weeks, and I got used to the terrible sirens and explosions. Czech hedgehogs and checkpoints have become a seemingly normal part of the cityscape. So consciousness interprets these elements as everyday life, and because of this state, it only gets worse. On the first day, I went to the workshop immediately, turned on the deathcore, and began to draw what happened in those few hours. It seems not long, but, unfortunately, enough for many more paintings.
