In August 2022, the general tension was growing due to nuclear terrorism ongoingly carried out by Russia. Against this background, I created this artwork and a short accompanying text:
On 4 March 2022, Zaporizhzhia nuclear and thermal power stations were both captured by Russian forces during the Battle of Enerhodar of the full-scale Russian invasion of Ukraine.
Today, the Zaporizhzhia NPP is operating with the risk of violating radiation and fire safety standards. This situation was caused by periodic shelling with multiple rocket launchers by Russian troops.
Despite creating the threats themselves, the Russian Federation armed forces go on accusing Ukraine of shelling. Continuing these foolish provocations and nuclear terrorism may have catastrophic outcomes for the entire world.
Zaporizhzhia NPP is the largest nuclear power plant in Europe and the sixth in the world by its size.
