Pressure
Observing the process of boundless and uncontrolled by the axioms of humanism influence and pressure of the system on the object, we see destructive changes in personality. One gradually loses their will; being in constant fear of the present and the future, loses the ability to influence and control events. One feels helpless and bewildered due to daily cyclical disturbing events among deformed cities, utopian ideas, and primitive social structures that limit their activities and self-esteem.
The house shapes are brought to almost primitive structures dominating and pressing on the object. This pressure results in a change in the attitude towards oneself and others, apathy, and loss of independence and significance of a person in such a space.
I was inspired mainly by brutalism and similar buildings. I like very simple and, at the same time, expressive forms. Forms that should prevail and constrain. The first house is the tomb of Eurysaces in Rome, 1st century BC. I was struck by the proportions of this building and its resemblance to the architecture of brutalism. This is a very unusual example of Roman architecture. The second building is the Armstrong Rubber Building, a modernist building from 1970, USA.
