Taras Kamennoy

Taras Kamennoy (b. 1985, Kharkiv) is a Ukrainian artist working in the field of critical art. He graduated from the Faculty of Monumental Painting of the Kharkiv State Academy of Design and Fine Arts in 2008. Taras was a scholarship holder of the KulturKontakt residence in Austria (2017) and Gaude Polonia (2016). He was also twice shortlisted for the PinchukArtCentre award (2011, 2018) and was a resident of the cultural and artistic residence "OVER GOD", Vinnytsia (2017). He was a participant in such group exhibitions as "Dying to Work", Zherelo Pavilion, Kyiv (2021), "Artificial Pain", Yermilov Center, Kharkiv (2021), "Sztuczny bol", Toruń (2020), "Neighbors", Warsaw Under Construction 10, VCRC, Cepelia Pavillion, Warsaw (2018), "Paid color. Advertising", Fluk, Vienna (2018) and others. He has implemented a number of personal projects, namely "Body of KhHN (Kharkiv Heat Networks)", construction site, Piatikhatky, Kharkiv (2017), "Paid color", Apartment 14, Kyiv (2016), "I am a Ukrainian worker", Labyrinth Gallery, Lublin (2016) and other. He lives and works in Kharkiv.
