Lusia Ivanova
Lucy Ivanova (b. 1989, Dnipropetrovsk) is a Ukrainian artist. She studied at the Dnipropetrovsk Theater and Art College in the studio of Hryhorii Cherneta. Later, she also graduated from the National Academy of Fine Arts and Architecture in Kyiv, where she worked in the studio of Vasyl Hurin. Her qualification was Easel painting. In 2013, she attended a course in contemporary art at the School of Visual Communication. Course curators were Lada Nakonechna and Kateryna Badianova. The artist works mainly with paintings but also with sculptural objects, environment, video, photos, and textiles. She presented her personal projects in Kyiv, Zaporizhzhia, Chernihiv, and Odesa. Since 2016, she has participated annually in the Mohrytsia International Land Art symposium. She took part in group exhibitions: "Unfolding landscapes", The Art Center Silkeborg Bad, Gjessø, Denmark (2022), "Pink Exhibition", "White World" Contemporary Art Centre, Kyiv (2021), Second National Biennial of Young Art, Kharkiv (2019), Hybrid Art Fair, Madrid (2019) and others. In 2019-2020, together with Yegor Antsigin, she was the co-curator of the visual program of the residences for the Artsvit Gallery. In 2022, her personal exhibition "Party Sequence" was to be opened in this gallery in Dnipro. She currently lives and works in Kyiv.
