In their practice, artists turn to the image of the city as a fragmented, sometimes a sick collective body. Pulling out random writings, archetypal images of people, architectural elements from the streets, they change the viewer's focus from "attractive and conventional" images to something unsettling and painfully familiar from the urban space. This is sort of things which we usually want to avoid, or speed up the pace so as not to see. However, at the same time, the reality in their works is not equal to hopelessness. Their artworks are an ironic commentary that allows us to reconsider our attitude to an alienated city, making it our own.

it was crowded yesterday series, which Anna and Kristina started before the full-scale invasion of Russia, uses images of bombs and missiles. According to the artists, they had great doubts and internal resistance to print them or not, because back then the bombs seemed to be something very abstract. Since February 24th, bombs and missiles, as well as ruins of cities, have become a painful occurrence. The threat of destruction and the loss of a home as a result of hostilities have prompted millions of people to flee their hometowns and villages. They were forced to crowd at stations waiting for a train to take them "nowhere" or to sit in basements and metro stations. They left behind a black void that had recently been their home. People are gradually dissolving, leaving behind only images and memories. There used to be a lot of people on the ruined streets and piles of broken concrete.
