In the first days of the full-scale Russian invasion, I couldn't even think about drawing. The war felt like something big, all-encompassing, overwhelming. No matter what I drew, it seemed to me that it would not be enough to convey the full scope of this absolute evil. Everything except the war after February 24 was perceived as insignificant and irrelevant. Still, I cannot help but react to the terrible events that we all experience — personally or through the experiences of our compatriots. Therefore, in the end, I dared to try to depict at least parts, small fragments of what has become our new reality, in which injustice, cruelty, the fragility of life, everyday heroism, and willpower are intertwined.
